Three new exhibitions showcasing contemporary visual art with a focus on celebrating and inspiring the creativity of local rangatahi.

Pā Harakeke Exhibition - Whakatāne Community Board Gallery
Showcasing new work by Theresa Hutchinson, Lee Peterson, and Patricia Waara, raranga (Māori weaving) students at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

Flat-Pack Whakapapa Exhibition - Sheaff Family Gallery
An exhibition by Maureen Lander that explores the connections between raranga (Māori weaving) and whakapapa. Developed and toured by The Dowse [www.dowse.org.nz]

PUNA Exhibition - Brookfields Lawyers Gallery
Inspiring work by emerging Māori artists Kauri Wharewera, Maioha Kara, Māia Abraham, Maia Wharewera-Ballard, Jess Thompson-Carr, and Kahu Kutia.
