Purpose
Arts Whakatane promotes, initiates and supports projects and activities that stimulate and strengthen the artistic and cultural life of our community by

Encouraging participation by all sectors of the community in the arts and other cultural and educational activities
Promoting the arts and arts activities whether organised by Arts Whakatane or other groups, schools or agencies
Facilitating arts activities particularly those that involve a range of arts disciplines and arts groups
Advocating for the arts in the community

And do anything necessary or helpful to the above purposes. Pecuniary gain is not a purpose of Arts Whakatane.

Arts Whakatane is a registered charitable organisation that relies on volunteer input.
